The Nosara Civic Association expresses indignation over the recent approval of projects without the necessary legal permits, such as Epic Nosara in Playa Pelada, which was authorized without water availability approval from the ASADA or the Water Directorate of MINAE.

As a conservation organization that protects the adjacent creek and wetland, we stand strongly against any project that doesn’t prioritize the ecological balance of our community.

We back the investigation opened by the Nicoya Mayor’s Office into the departments responsible for approving construction and land-use plans

We ask our entire community to stay vigilant and report violations of local laws. Also, we hold developers and real estate companies accountable to comply with current legislation and respect the natural environment.

We are committed to promoting conservation in a growing community. This is Nosara’s greatest challenge.
