We presented the second phase of the Hydrogeological Study for Nosara!

Date

On November 3rd, we officially shared the second phase of the Nosara Hydrogeological Study with our community. This information is essential to know the details about the aquifers in our district. The National Service for Groundwater, Irrigation, and Drainage (SENARA for the Spanish acronym) has already approved this study, and it was possible thanks to the support of our members and the collaboration of the technical and professional teams we work with.

Luis Pardo and Ethel Araya, NCA’s President and Vicepresident

Our advisers and consultants from Agathos Natura -specialized in sustainable development and conservation- were in charge of presenting to an audience that included district ASADAs, local media, NGOs, Integral Development Associations (ADIS), private companies, and community leaders; the technical study carried out in Phase II, delving into the findings and necessary points of action for the Nicoya Regulatory Plan.

Several asadas and communal organizations attended the presentation

The analysis covered information on hydrology, geology, aquifers, and their threats. It also included recommendations to control potential vulnerability risks. Download the presentation here: Estudio Hidrogeológico NCA (Spanish only)

By presenting the second phase of the Nosara Hydrogeological Study, we are moving forward in the construction and approval of the Regulatory Plan. Meanwhile, we invite the entire community to proactively search for and apply the best practices in urban development, water treatment, and preservation of water resources.

During the event, the organizations actively participated in the conversation. We are very happy to see the high commitment of the ASADAs, development associations, business owners, and local leaders, so we continue acting on the main water problems in our community.

Stay tuned! Important news will come soon from all of us working together!
